Archiving Policy
The Journal of Community Global recognizes the importance of preserving the scholarly record. As part of our commitment to ensuring the long-term availability and preservation of the research we publish, the journal has implemented the following archiving policy:
- Digital Preservation: All content published in the Journal of Community Global is digitally archived and preserved in our electronic repositories. This guarantees that all our publications remain available, irrespective of any unforeseen changes in the future.
- Backup Repositories: In addition to our primary digital archive, the journal maintains backup repositories to safeguard against data loss due to system failures, accidents, or other unforeseen events.
- Permanent URLs: Each article published in the Journal of Community Global is assigned a unique and permanent URL. This ensures that all articles can be reliably and consistently cited, facilitating academic referencing and scholarly communications.
- Open Archives Initiative: The journal supports the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH). This ensures that the metadata of the articles we publish is easily harvested and indexed by trusted third-party services.
- Access Post Cancellation: In the unlikely event of the journal's cessation or a shift from open access to subscription mode, all previously published open access content will remain freely accessible, ensuring that no research is lost to the academic community.
- Community Collaboration: The Journal of Community Global collaborates with various university libraries, digital preservation organizations, and other partners to ensure a multi-tiered archiving system, further bolstering the resilience and longevity of the scholarly record.
- Regular Updates: The archiving infrastructure and protocols are regularly reviewed and updated to align with the latest technological advancements and best practices in digital preservation.
The Journal of Community Global archiving policy is designed to provide peace of mind to our authors and readers, ensuring that the research we publish remains accessible, safe, and preserved for posterity.
