Peer Reviewer Process

The Journal of Community Global maintains a rigorous peer review process to ensure the high quality and originality of the papers it publishes. The process is as follows:

  1. Initial Manuscript Evaluation: Upon receiving a submission, the editorial team conducts a preliminary review to ensure the manuscript aligns with the journal's scope, follows the submission guidelines, and maintains a basic standard of academic quality.
  2. Assignment to Reviewers: If the manuscript passes the initial evaluation, it is sent to at least two independent expert reviewers in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, reputation, and previous experience in reviewing.
  3. Blind Review: The journal follows a double-blind review process. This means that both the reviewer and the author remain anonymous throughout the process, ensuring unbiased and impartial reviews.
  4. Reviewer's Report: Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, methodological soundness, relevance to the field, and clarity of presentation. They provide detailed feedback, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and suggestions for improvement.
  5. Editorial Decision: Once the reviews are returned, the editorial team consolidates the feedback and makes a decision. The possible decisions include:
    • Accept without revisions
    • Accept with minor revisions
    • Revise and resubmit (major revisions required)
    • Reject
  6. Author Notification: Authors are informed of the editorial decision along with the reviewers' feedback. If revisions are required, authors are given a timeline to resubmit their revised manuscript.
  7. Revised Manuscript Evaluation: If the paper was accepted with revisions, the revised manuscript is evaluated either by the editorial team or sent back to the original reviewers, depending on the extent of the required changes.
  8. Final Decision: Once the revisions are deemed satisfactory, the manuscript is accepted for publication. If the changes do not meet the criteria or the authors fail to provide the necessary revisions within the stipulated time, the manuscript may be declined.
  9. Proofreading and Publication: The accepted articles undergo a final check and proofreading process before being published in the upcoming issue of the journal.

The Journal of Community Global is committed to providing constructive feedback to authors, promoting scholarly discourse, and ensuring the integrity and quality of articles through its meticulous peer review process.
