Definition of Plagiarism:
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, the following acts:
- Direct appropriation: Copying text or material from another source verbatim without providing proper attribution or references.
- Inappropriate parafrazing: Replacing some words or sentences in the original text with synonyms or other minor changes without providing attribution to the original author.
- Incorporation of other people's work: Incorporating large or substantial parts of someone else's work into your own work without permission or attribution.
- Repeated publication: Publishing the same research results repeatedly in different journals without providing cross-references between these publications.
Actions Against Plagiarism:
If indications of plagiarism are found in the submitted manuscript, the following steps will be taken according to the level of violation:
- Initial Detection: Each manuscript will be checked using plagiarism detection software to identify similarities with external sources.
- Assessment by the Editor: If there are indications of plagiarism, the editor will carry out further evaluation to determine the level of violation and its seriousness.
- Communication with Authors: If light to moderate plagiarism is found, authors will be given the opportunity to improve their manuscript by correcting plagiarism issues and including appropriate references.
- Further Actions: If plagiarism is found to be very serious or if the author does not respond properly to requests for correction, further steps may be taken including rejection of the manuscript, notification of the institution with which the author is affiliated (if relevant), and notification to the relevant scientific community.
